Upcoming: Mushroom Cultivation Workshop at the Univ. of Arizona

The Controlled Environment Agriculture Center (CEAC) at the University of Arizona will host an introductory workshop on mushroom cultivation on Friday, June 13, in-person and via Zoom. During the course, attendees will learn about the growing industry of fungal products, maintaining mushroom cultures, and the environmental conditions required for mushroom production. Here’s a brief look at the agenda:

  • 8:40-9:20 a.m. MST: The Basics of Edible Mushroom Production
  • 9:30-10:20 a.m. MST: A Process Overview of Growing Mushrooms
  • 10:30-11:20 a.m. MST: Breaking Down the Mushroom Fruiting Process
  • 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. MST: Hands-On Workshop (in-person attendees only)
