Mastronardi Introduces Unique Tomato Branch Packaging

Mastronardi Produce has launched the Sunset Tomato Branch, a unique triangular packaging solution for the display, holding, and distribution of greenhouse-grown, on-the-vine, red micro-grape tomatoes.
Mastronardi says that the triangle carrier:
- Fits existing retail systems
- Uses premium finishes while remaining recyclable
According to Packaging Strategies, the new product also aims to reduce food waste through its aesthetic appeal and the showcase of fresh produce to consumers, both in stores and at home.
The Sunset Tomato Branch will have its official rollout start with Wegman’s stores in upstate New York and Whole Foods in Chicago.
