Haven Greens, a greenhouse producer located in King City, Ontario, is launching Trillium Blend, a medley of baby green leaf, baby red butter leaf, arugula, and mustard greens, exclusively in Costco stores.
Like all its leafy greens, Trillium Blend is grown locally inside of Haven Greens’ five-acre greenhouse—a touchless, climate-controlled, and pesticide-free facility. Currently on track to reach net-zero operations by 2027, the greenhouse reflects Haven Greens’ commitment to innovation and sustainability. Its unique growing approach means that its greens are ready-to-eat without washing and have an extended shelf life of up to five weeks, exceeding the two-week shelf life of most field-grown options.
“Producing an exclusive new blend for Costco, a retailer so widely beloved in our home province and beyond, within our initial launch year has been an honour,” says Jay Willmot, CEO and founder of Haven Greens. “Costco’s commitment to consistently providing Canadians with quality products aligns closely with our goal of providing a fresh, sustainable, and readily available alternative to seasonal field lettuce.”
Haven Greens officially launched earlier in 2025, with its first harvest taking place in March. Since then, the brand has grown and expanded to retailers across the Ontario province and beyond. This new Costco partnership highlight Haven Greens’ continued commitment to making its leafy greens widely accessible.
The facility produces approximately 10,000 pounds of lettuce per day, totaling 3.6 million pounds annually. Its indoor, climate-controlled, and fully automated growing conditions allow for daily harvesting and year-round availability, giving Ontarians continuous access to Haven Greens’ fresh, locally-grown lettuce year-round.
