Since its last notice in early March, AeroFarms has provided another update regarding the potential closure and operational timeline of its Virginia facility.

An Ongoing Sales Process and Revised Timeline

After previously announcing a potential unnamed buyer and signing a letter of intent to sell, AeroFarms has pushed its tentative facility closure timeline to between April 17 and 30, 2026. This revised timeline is due to a delay in the sale process of the facility, having passed the expected target date of Tuesday, March 31, 2026. As the details of the sale are negotiated and hammered out, the lender supporting the current operations of the Ringgold facility has agreed to provide additional, short-term funding.

However, if a sale does not close within the revised April timeline and additional funding is not secured, the facility may shut down.

The updated WARN notice, with additional details on the state of the Ringgold facility and its furloughed employees, can be read in full here.
