GLASE is offering six engaging sessions and hosting the second annual Vivid Canopy breakfast at the 2025 CEAg World Conference and Expo.

At this year’s CEAg World Conference and Expo happening in Durham, N.C., from Nov. 19 – 21, 2025, attendees can learn and connect at special knowledge sessions as well as networking events. Cornell University’s Greenhouse Lighting and Systems Engineering (GLASE) consortium is the Official Knowledge Partner of the event, curating professional development opportunities. Six GLASE sessions will feature an international collection of growers, researchers, and educators. In addition, the second annual Vivid Canopy breakfast will fuel collaborations and foster conversations between professionals across the spectrum of industry experience.

CEAg World Conference and Expo attendees can make the most of their experience by going to three or more GLASE sessions. Panels will explore the latest strategies for training diverse teams, designing sustainable systems, lighting CEA crops, scaling pilot projects, using farm data, and navigating codes and standards. Speakers represent the landscape of experts transforming the market to improve farm productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

“We are thrilled to enhance the CEAg World Conference and Expo program with credible insights from real greenhouses, academic experiments, and the latest policies affecting growers,” shares Gretchen Schimelpfenig, Executive Director of GLASE. “Our Innovator Certificate demonstrates knowledge in controlled environment agriculture to support continuing education for students and professionals alike. We are proud to connect diverse people in the industry to accelerate job opportunities for everyone in this dynamic market. Our events will build community at this exciting industry event.”

The Vivid Canopy breakfast on Thursday, Nov. 20, includes a warm buffet and open networking. All are welcome to start the day with a personal introduction to meet diverse people. Roundtable discussions will explore the current labor landscape in the CEA industry and present job opportunities for participating employers. It costs $29 to register.

“We’re proud to support Vivid Canopy’s mission of meeting CEA’s changing labor demands by connecting industry professionals to businesses that embrace diversity and inclusion,” says Lauren Lewis, Corporate Director of Events & New Ventures at Meister Media Worldwide. “Hosting the Vivid Canopy breakfast at the CEAg World Conference and Expo encourages these connections to be made in person, sparking real conversations that will help create a more inclusive and resilient workforce across the industry.”
