Sheriff is an expert in sustainable agriculture and food systems thinking. He holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security from Newcastle University and formerly served as Director of Strategy and Sustainability at CropIT Limited. Currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Rhode Island, his research uses ethnographic and mixed-methods approaches to examine the sustainability and equity dimensions of controlled environment agriculture (CEA) and other strategies for intensifying agriculture in urban settings.
