Renato Zardo
Originally from Brazil, Renato Zardo holds a degree in Agronomy and a Master’s in Agriculture. Over the past 14 years, he has built a strong career in the U.S. greenhouse industry.
Zardo began his professional journey at Green Circle Growers, where he advanced from intern to Plant Health Manager. During this time, he earned a Master’s in Plant Health Management from The Ohio State University and was honored as the 2015 Young Grower of the Year.
He later transitioned from ornamental crops to hydroponic food production, working with Nature Fresh Farms and serving as a consultant for Koppert across multiple U.S. regions, focusing on integrated pest management in hydroponic systems.
Today, Zardo is the Director of Growing at Great Lakes Growers in Ohio, where he leads the production of a diverse range of leafy greens.
