Cristian Collado, Ph.D.
Research Associate of North Carolina State University

I am an agronomist with a degree in Agronomy Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a Ph.D. in Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) from North Carolina State University, USA. I lead and coordinate projects in CEA at NC State, focusing on enhancing crop productivity, advancing our understanding of plant and crop physiology, and minimizing resource use and environmental impact.

In addition to my research in plant physiology, I have designed and implemented advanced growing systems for greenhouse and indoor farming studies across various crop types, supporting both academic research and industry applications. These innovations aim to improve production feasibility, labor and resource efficiency, data quality, and reproducibility, while deepening our insights into crop responses and system performance.

I am also deeply grateful to my family, whose unwavering support continues to enrich both my professional and personal life.
