John Gaunt, Ph.D.
The Chief Science Officer of bio365, John Gaunt is a scientist, professor, inventor and entrepreneur with over 20 years of research experience, John’s work in soil biology led to his development of patented, high performance horticultural media, transforming the Controlled Environment Agriculture industry.
John has a BSc from Reading University in the UK and a PhD in Soil Biology from Wye College, University of London. John worked at the CGIAR International Rice Research Institute, was a Senior Scientist at Rothamsted Research in the UK. John was a Research Fellow at Edinburgh University and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Cornell University. In addition to his environmental work in combating climate change, John has authored over 25 peer-reviewed publications and 30 articles in conference proceedings, as well as book chapters, popular articles, extension materials and reports. John is the inventor on 9 patents.
